So I probably have yet to mention it, but I have bad news about my dog Cosmo, the German Shepherd.

Unfortunately he's gotten quite sick and we don't expect to have him for much longer. He's developed a muscle disease and has lost most of the muscle in his back legs and head and it's been spreading to his spine. It's quite nasty, really. Like for example not even 5 minutes ago he was sitting beside me and I was petting him and he just randomly pooped. He can't control that stuff as well anymore, which isn't pleasant for anyone. A month or two ago he couldn't even eat because he simply couldn't swallow his food.

True to his breed, he didn't live long for a dog. He turned 8 a few weeks ago, which is about as old as his breed gets, similar to other big breeds like Irish Wolfhounds and Bernese Mountain Dogs. And that's what sucks about having pets; You come to love and live with these amazing creatures yet the whole time you know they're never going to live quite as long as you need them by your side.

But when a door closes another opens. Paw Print (White) - F2U!

I finally convinced my mom to let me get a puppy. :happybounce:  I have to buy it myself, but I already have $800 saved up, and at the moment I have a part-time and seasonal job so I'll be able to support it. I'm not sure how long Cosmo will live for, and if he'll be around when it comes time for me to get the pup. When it becomes summer and school gets out is the time I'll be getting my puppy.

Now here's where I need help; What's your favorite dog breed? No little breeds, though. My family & I prefer larger dogs. I was planning on adopting the pup from a rescue organization as well.

So if you have any good or bad experiences with a specific breed / rescue organization leave me a comment! Each one is appreciated Huggle!

Oh and if you really love dogs, please join my club Canine-Lovee! Thanks so so much
